So far, there have been no birds nesting in this birdhouse. I feel that the birdhouse dimensions listed were very misleading. The inside nesting box area/floor is only 3 x 3 inches. The width and depth listed seem to more closely represent the roof, and even that falls short. Roof specifications...

I had three of these from Amazon. I'm really impressed with the quality. It 'was an added plus that they are made in the United States.I think the viewing area with side insert plexiglass and the copper ring opening (to keep wildlife creatures from clawing open a larger aperture) are both really good ideas. I put two back-to-back with screws via drill Phillips on a 8 × 4 pressure-treated post wooded that I put in a hole I dug about 2 meters. I filled the hole with bricks that had peices and covered with dirt (a lot of cement would be really "seal" the deal) with a saw and cut a 10-inch off the post - and appearance. The end result is both houses of birds are about 5 feet off the ground.This set is the only open space I have - a site for bluebirds (Eastern BBS for Maryland). I already have some activities in one....
